Today, I am going to share about my experience in selecting model for project.

Back in the 80's; upon returning tfrom Wales to Asia, I have spent lots of time in Canon AE1 & Canon EOS 888. For daily lives photos, Inever shot of models. However, on the nude & glamour shots a re difficult to be found. Well those day Bikini shots models' command higher price then any others.

I am not a pro photographer, I am just a amateur!! I am fortunate that I have the attaction like magnet to get close to beautiful women. I am also quick to identify any of the potential super model.

Be it at the Mandarin Hotel in Orchard road or the Sungei Wang Plaze in K.L. I am always quick to discover the super model. With my position with electronics & computing multi-national on Business Development. From time to time I need to enlist models for the CE & computer shows.

Carries; Ken & Yf; & Maggie Luvare the agencies that I used mostly.

Now, talking about selection. In the late 60's; Eonnie my brother in law buddy Kelvin is with a british trading house, who is a mid-senior manager, then he used to select models for cosmetic companies shots for the marketing promo material. OI over heard the converzation that then the selection for model's beside the pretty look on the face & sexy look on body. The skin must be totally flawless.

Given the enviornment & the culture background, it is totally difficult to find a model in the 60's whom were born in th 40's would have the perfect skin. Therefore, then the models are all from UK. Not till the later part of 70's, the British have left South East Asia, & the economy of South East Asia begin to pick up, the consumers of the local start to esculate.

Then the marketing materials would need to have local faces for the message to be effectives. But the business of modeling career have not taken off till the 80's. Then the concept of height & skin still importance, but not as strict as before. However, most still prefer to use Eurasian then local. Because of the height & the built.

In the skin textual sense, the south east asian skin are more smooth then the eurasian or the west. This is because of genetic & also because of the weather & humidity.

The classification of model then began to add more & more.... It is not necessary for a full figure girl to be qualified for the product or campaign project. Then I also see the age limit have been increasing as well.
